Who will be the 2010 AL Cy Young Award winner?

Alex Gonzalez signs 1 year deal with Blue Jays

Ken Rosenthal is tweeting that Alex Gonzalez has signed a 1-year deal with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Obviously, that means he won't be back in Boston... and with Gonzo and John MacDonld sign for 2010, Marco Scuturo will not be back with Toronto.

The assumption here is that the Sox will make an offer for Scuturo and we talked about that yesterday... with Gonzo off the market, Scuturo might be the best option left for the Red Sox and rumor has it he wants to play in Boston.

Bottom Line: I was really hoping we'd re-sign Gonzo. I love having his glove at short... but I understand the need for more pop out of that position. I just don't know if Scuturo and his .265 career BA is the answer.

Shout out to MLB Trade Rumors for the news...
