Who cares if the World Series hasn't even started yet! The Sox are done, so it's time to get ready for 2010, right!?
Okay.... it's a little early for predictions... and James' stats don't account for the roster changes we'll see before April 2010... but here's what the stat geek of all stat geeks sees for the Sox next season:
Bottom Line: I have a few observations... 1) Josh Beckett will not beat Jon Lester in strikeouts. He's never even tallied 200 before. 2) James is underestimating Victor Martinez... I expect 20+ HR and 100 RBI in a full season with Boston. 3) James predicts Pedey to bounce back and hit over .300 again... I hope he does, but I plan to watch Pedroia closely in 2010 and see if the "Fenway Hitter" label proves to be true or not. 4) Not a great line for Youk... curious...
Special thanks to Randy at Over the Monsterr for the info.
You can buy James' complete book at the ACTA website.
