Matt at Fenway West beat me to the punch, but it appears that we both got our free samples of Youk's Beef Jerky in the mail this week.
I couldn't think of a more fitting product for Youk to promote that beef jerky. I mean maybe, he's not likely to be joining Derek Jeter in an Gillete commericals any time soon... although he might fit right in with the Vikings from the Capital One ads.
Like Matt, I got a free sample of the Original flavor and the Teriyaki flavor, and since I'm not a big jerky guy, I shared my samples with some co-workers. Most agreed that the Teriyaki had a little more flavor, but many noted that what made Youk's Beef Jerky so good was that it didn't feel ike eating a leather belt.
If that's not a glowing endorsement, I don't know what is.
Bottom Line: I don't eat much jerky, but I enjoyed my samples and now I'm waiting for Viking goatee to grow in.
